This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing that integrates mounting feet for center-line discharge. It incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components to manage internal fluid sealing.
The motor operates at 7.5 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating, a TEFC enclosure, a speed of 1750 RPM, and Aegis grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
