This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure regulation, the unit supports up to 125 PSI and integrates a replaceable bronze wear ring. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, which accommodate system temperatures up to 250°F. Gauge ports are provided on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring, while the centerline discharge arrangement allows for positive air venting during operation.
The 10 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operates at 1750 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
