This close-coupled end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft configuration that eliminates fluid contact with the shaft to prevent corrosion, protected by an easy-to-replace bronze shaft sleeve. This construction incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber for fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are provided on both suction and discharge connections to monitor system operation.
The 2 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, main disconnect with 5kA SCCR, drive fusing, and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
