This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, connected to a stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F operation. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, and the casing supports a maximum working pressure of 125 PSI. Permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings support the shaft, and a foot support at the driver end provides additional stability.
The motor provides 40 HP, utilizes a premium efficiency rating, possesses a TEFC enclosure, operates at 1750 RPM, includes Aegis grounding, and operates on 380-460V 3PH power. The DOE PEI rating is 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
