This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover, integrating a stainless steel NSF61 impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft to minimize corrosion. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. This assembly is engineered for operation at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. The design utilizes flush seal line taps to accommodate an external filter, and pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections.
Powered by a 20 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding on 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
