This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a durable cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the circulating fluid from the pump shaft, which maintains a 125 PSI pressure rating. Fluid sealing is achieved through a mechanical seal assembly containing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This configuration facilitates simplified seal maintenance through the slip-on shaft sleeve. Suction and discharge connections incorporate standard pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The motor operates at 7.5 HP with premium efficiency and a TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 208V, 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
