This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design, utilizing a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from circulating fluids. The sealing assembly utilizes an EPT rubber and a ceramic seat half, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Center-line discharge construction aids in air venting, and the unit allows for maintenance without disturbing system piping.
The assembly utilizes a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
