This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and a 6" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump casing is constructed of cast iron and features a center-line discharge design for positive air venting. It includes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, and is rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The pump assembly uses a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, and it includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and is configured with a NEMA 254 T frame motor. It is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan and a coupler guard. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor. This unit is designed for 60Hz power supply applications and maintains a Pump Efficiency Index (PEI) of 0.94. The bearing housing features sealed-for-life ball bearings that support the shaft assembly.
