This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast center-line discharge and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, facilitating maintenance through a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic seat half with EPT rubber provides the mechanical seal, which operates at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Flush seal line taps permit the installation of filtration equipment, and pressure tappings exist on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding at 380-460V / 3PH, maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
