This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing and a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal incorporates a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, with a temperature rating of 250°F. The pump casing includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections and flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 50 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 326T frame. It utilizes a Woods coupler and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard for power transmission. The configuration is rated for a 230-460/60/3 power supply with across-the-line starting and a 40°C ambient temperature rating. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan. This unit meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards, includes AEGIS shaft grounding, and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.92.
