This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal comprising ceramic and EPT components manages fluid containment within the casing, which is rated for 125 PSI. The pump assembly facilitates maintenance through the slip-on shaft sleeve and allows for servicing without disturbing the connected system piping. Pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections are provided for system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by 380-460V 3PH current, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
