This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is handled by a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. These components function in unison to move fluids while maintaining internal integrity through balanced hydraulic and mechanical design.
Powered by a 75 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the system utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
