This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the pump incorporates a mechanical seal utilizing ceramic and EPT materials, engineered to withstand operating pressures up to 125 PSI. This construction allows for maintenance of the seal and shaft components without disturbing the system piping.
Powered by a 150 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V 3PH power. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
