This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, facilitating maintenance through a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The unit integrates a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F operation and maintains a pressure capacity of 125 PSI. Drilled and tapped gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a bottom casing drain port, allow for system monitoring.
The pump is powered by a 25 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with an Aegis grounding ring, supplied by 380-460V 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
