This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The unit utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Engineered for hydraulic balance, the impeller includes a replaceable bronze wear ring. The pump casing provides a center-line discharge for air venting, while suction and discharge connections include pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 2 HP premium efficiency motor with Aegis grounding, operating at 1750 RPM on 200-230V 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
