This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller hydraulically balanced and fitted to a stainless steel shaft. This configuration integrates a dry shaft design, protecting the shaft from contact with the circulating fluid, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve limits potential wear. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber components to provide a seal for operations up to 125 PSI. This design allows for maintenance of the pump without disturbing system piping connections.
The system utilizes a 50 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 200-230V, 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
