This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Sealing is managed by a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F. The pump assembly handles a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI and allows for field maintenance of the mechanical seal and internal components without disconnecting the system piping.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, the unit utilizes 380-460V / 3PH power and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
