This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for air venting. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, connected to a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This pump construction integrates a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid contact, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components for operation up to 250°F. Rated for 125 PSI, the pump architecture allows for service without disturbing system piping.
The 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, power input of 380-460V / 3PH, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
