This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a hydraulically balanced bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal, and the configuration operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet secure the pump housing, while gauge ports are provided at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The motor is a 25 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 3450 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
