This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that employs a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from circulating fluids. The pump assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal and is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet on the casing provide structural stability, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation.
The assembly operates with a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
