This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft construction to prevent fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal employs ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI. Gauge ports are located at the suction and discharge connections, and the casing includes a bottom drain port. This assembly integrates a bronze wear ring for hydraulic performance.
The pump utilizes a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
