This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, further protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For sealing, the pump uses a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The unit is rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are provided on both suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding to protect against electrical discharge, powered by 200-230V, 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
