This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate hydraulic performance. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve within a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating. Additionally, the unit incorporates a replaceable wear ring and flush seal line taps to manage non-condensable particles. The assembly includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
Powered by a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and a 380-460V three phase power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
