This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and cover integrated with a stainless steel impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft to minimize potential corrosion. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber gaskets manages fluid containment at a rating of 125 PSI while including a wear ring. This pump assembly also provides pressure tappings on both suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 50 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding for protection on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
