This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the assembly, which utilizes a dry shaft design to isolate the pump shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat with EPT rubber, supporting operation up to 125 PSI with an integrated wear ring. Suction and discharge connections are equipped with pressure tappings, and the pump casing includes flush seal line taps to facilitate the installation of protective filtration.
Powered by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass and main disconnect with 5kA SCCR and holds an enclosure NEMA 3R / IP 64 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
