This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast center-line discharge for efficient air venting. The unit comprises a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents circulating fluid from contacting the internal shaft to minimize corrosion risks. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a silicon-carbide seat with EPT elastomers to handle fluid temperatures up to 250°F. Drilled and tapped gauge ports at both suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom of the casing, allow for system monitoring and maintenance. The assembly operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The pump utilizes a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding protection, powered by a 200-230V / 3PH electrical supply, and maintains a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
