This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a bronze impeller and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The pump assembly operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and utilizes a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This unit provides center-line discharge for positive air venting and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections. The bearing housing consists of permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The assembly is driven by a 100 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC, 3450 RPM motor with Aegis Grounding, operating on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
