This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and center-line discharge for air venting. The assembly integrates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, connected to a stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft through a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid contact. Mechanical seal components comprise a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI service. Pressure tappings for gauge ports are located at the suction and discharge connections, and the design incorporates a replaceable bronze wear ring.
Powered by a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.5. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
