This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, and is rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections, and the casing includes flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP WEG TEFC motor in a 184T NEMA frame. The electrical configuration is 230-460/60/3PH with an across-the-line starting option. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. This model meets MG1-12.55 standards for premium efficiency and has a DOE PEI value of 0.92.
