This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and utilizes a bronze impeller alongside a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Hydraulically balanced to ensure stable performance, the unit is engineered with a center-line discharge configuration for positive air venting.
The motor is a 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH, and a DOE: PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
