This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft arrangement that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is managed by a ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal, supporting operation up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. This pump configuration utilizes flush seal line taps and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and is powered by 380-460V 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
