This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is shielded by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is provided by a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 125 PSI. Hydraulically balanced to facilitate steady flow, the assembly utilizes a design that allows for servicing the pump without disturbing the system piping.
This pump utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and operates on 380-460V 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
