This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a stainless steel impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the circulating fluid from the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components facilitates operation at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump integrates flush seal line taps to assist in protecting the mechanical seal from non-condensable particles, while the volute provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
Power is provided by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
