This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for positive air venting. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller that is hydraulically balanced and dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. Inside the casing, a dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT elastomers manages fluid containment, while the unit provides a 125 PSI pressure rating with an included bronze wear ring to maintain performance.
Operating with a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, the pump utilizes Aegis Grounding and supports a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
