This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT components manages fluid containment within the unit, which operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet on the casing provide structural stability during installation.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency motor, the unit operates as a TEFC motor at 1750 RPM. This assembly incorporates Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
