This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 6-1/4" nominal diameter stainless steel (NSF61) impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents the shaft from contacting circulating fluid. It includes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. Flush seal line taps are provided for filter installation, and pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections.
The unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure and drip cover. The motor utilizes a 184 JM frame with feet and is configured for 230-460/60/3 PH power. This configuration features across-the-line starting and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. The pump has a PEI value of 0.89. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, and the top centerline discharge simplifies piping layouts.
