This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller housed within a cast iron casing equipped with a bronze wear ring. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve with a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal is configured with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for fluid temperatures up to 250°F. The pump casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
This pump is driven by a 10 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure, operating at 1150 RPM. It is configured with a 256T NEMA frame and requires a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The entire assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, utilizing a Woods coupler to connect the pump to the motor. The system is rated for a 40°C ambient environment and uses across-the-line starting.
