This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. This shaft assembly is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT components. Capable of operating at pressures up to 125 PSI, the construction allows for service and maintenance without the removal of system piping.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
