This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a dynamically balanced bronze impeller. It integrates a stainless steel shaft protected by a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve covers the shaft, and the assembly utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic and EPT materials. This configuration maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI and incorporates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
