This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This pump accommodates operating pressures up to 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. The construction allows for service and maintenance without disturbing the system piping connections.
The motor is a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and functions on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
