This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve to protect the shaft from contact with the circulating fluid, adhering to a dry shaft mechanical design rated for 125 PSI. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components maintains hydraulic integrity during operation. The unit is constructed for center-line discharge to facilitate air venting, while the bronze impeller provides balance within the volute.
The pump operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and accepts a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
