This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to move fluid through the system. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials while supporting a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the assembly during operation, while the mechanical seal integrates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to maintain fluid containment. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and receives power from a 200-230V 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
