This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft from wear. The mechanical seal incorporates an EPT rubber component with a ceramic seat half. Engineered for operation at 125 PSI without a wear ring, the unit allows for maintenance of the mechanical seal and the permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings without disturbing the system piping.
The pump operates with a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
