This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at a pressure of 125 PSI. Suction and discharge connections include pressure tappings for monitoring, and flush seal line taps allow the installation of an optional filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles.
Powered by a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding to protect motor bearings, receiving power through a 380-460V / 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD manages the quadratic variable flow, is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
