This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with center-line discharge for air venting. The unit integrates a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid containment, and the assembly supports system pressures up to 125 PSI. The bearing housing incorporates permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The pump utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH electricity, with a DOE PEI of 0.47. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
