This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It integrates a bronze shaft sleeve to protect the shaft from contact with circulating fluid via the dry shaft design. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components to provide sealing at pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump construction supports system serviceability without disturbing existing piping.
The assembly operates on a 15 HP premium efficiency motor with a TEFC enclosure, rotating at 3450 RPM, and incorporates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V three-phase power supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
