This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and is constructed with a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, while the mechanical seal consists of ceramic and EPT materials. This configuration supports pressure ratings up to 125 PSI and integrates flush seal line taps along with gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections to provide monitoring capabilities.
The unit operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
