This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and a dynamically balanced bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected further by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber ensures fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The volute provides positive air venting through a center-line discharge and contains a replaceable wear ring to maintain hydraulic performance.
This pump operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
