This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. For sealing, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. This unit maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI and is equipped with suction and discharge pressure tappings as a standard configuration.
The system utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and 200-230V 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
