This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft assembly, utilizing a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal prevents leakage, while the unit maintains a 125 PSI pressure rating. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, and the volute includes integrally cast mounting feet for stability.
The motor is a 50 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 3450 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V 3PH electrical supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
